Inaugural Businesses Driving a Difference – An Innovative Approach to Corporate Social Responsibility
Giving back to the community is often mentioned as a priority for decision-makers, however, it’s not as common to find businesses with an effective Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy in place. It often ends up being an afterthought or a box that needs to be ticked, so the solution is we will just donate money to a cause and carry on.
With this event, Advivo with special guest speaker Philip Di Bella and 4 charities we work with Advivo presented innovative ways that businesses can incorporate CSR into their daily activities in meaningful ways that not only benefit the community but contribute to business goals and ethos. Presented on the night were for charities displaying different opportunities to contribute other than simply putting your hand in your pocket.
Win-win is the key term here.
The night was a huge success, which is a testament to the great work people are doing in this space. If you didn’t get a chance to attend and speak to all of the charities below is a reminder and an insight to what they do and how you could help them contribute to the community.
EPIC
At EPIC we help people with disability find and maintain employment. We work with them and employers to place them into long-term sustainable employment and then we stay on the journey until we are no longer needed. As part of this journey, we provide support and training to both the person with disability and the employer. We place people into a range of roles across a broad range of industries and sectors. We also provide Disability Awareness Training to employers to help them start their journey of employing people with disability.
